The Origin
Story
Everyone designs the living room first. My first projects were bathrooms. So I did the only reasonable thing next — I went and looked at fifty more.
Over the course of a year, I walked into other people's homes and studied their powder rooms, their kitchens, their master baths. Fifty case studies, one room at a time. Not to copy anything — to understand how vast this supposedly "small" category actually is. A powder room and a master bath solve completely different problems. A kitchen triangle and a wet room drainage detail have nothing in common except that everyone assumes an architect can wing both.
That year of case studies is the reason KBEX specializes instead of generalizes. Twelve years and a lot of waterproofing details later, bathrooms and kitchens stopped being "small rooms" to me and became the whole practice.
